The visionary leadership of Peter H. Coors and the Adolph Coors Foundation has provided quality character education and leadership development for thousands of youth in support of the Denver Area Council’s Scouting Outreach and Multi-Cultural Initiatives. These initiatives use innovative program deliver methods to serve minority communities, with a special emphasis to under-represented youth.  Youth are trained in citizenship, service and leadership through fun and adventure. Scouting’s Outreach programs focus on developing the leadership skills youth need by empowering them through progressive responsibility, instilling in them a sense of confidence and self-worth. This generosity has allowed the Denver Area Council to engage youth who otherwise would not receive the Scouting program. It provides alternatives to daily negative influences for youth in Denver’s urban corridors.
